Year 5 students from The British School of Kuwait (BSK) visited the Scientific Centre in Salmiya as part of their Science and Humanities Curriculum which covers the topics; Earth in space, Living things in their habitats and save planet Earth.
The students were fascinated when watching a demonstration of the Solar System in the Planetarium, and enjoyed experimenting with the exhibits in Discovery Place. During their visit, the students also were able to watch a movie in the IMAX theatre which relates to an upcoming Humanities project.
A hands on approach to learning is greatly valued at BSK, and the visit was a wonderful chance to stimulate and reinforce learning taking place in the classroom.
Year 5 were a credit to the school in their behaviour, and greatly enjoyed the visit.
Students in the Lower Phase have been learning in their assemblies and classrooms with their teachers how they can be resilient and we all have been celebrating their achievements in weekly assemblies.
Year 3 students celebrated Healthy Living Day with a series of exciting and educational activities that encouraged them to embrace healthy habits and consolidate their learning from their Topic lessons.
As educators and caregivers, we have the opportunity to shape resilient, emotionally intelligent individuals who will thrive both academically and socially.
