  • Where is the school located?
    Our campus is situated in Salwa, a peaceful residential neighbourhood to the south of Kuwait City. Our full address is: The British School of Kuwait, Street 1, Area 1, Salwa, Kuwait.
  • Do you have an application deadline?
    No, prospective families can apply to join BSK at any time during the academic year. Please get in touch with us to check our current availability. If a year group is full, we can add your child to our waiting list. 
  • How long does the admissions process take?
    From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, we aim to make the admissions process as seamless as possible. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is personalised to their needs. Please speak to our Admissions Office to find out more. 
  • How quickly do you respond to admissions enquiries?
    We aim to get back to you within 24 hours of receiving your initial admissions enquiry (working hours, Sunday to Thursday).
  • What nationalities are represented at BSK? 
    Everyone’s welcome at BSK. We’re proud of the diversity of our school community, which currently includes students from more than 75 countries.
  • What curriculum do you teach? 

    We teach the English National Curriculum from the Lower Phase all the way through to Sixth Form.

    As well as being academically rigorous and respected around the world, our British curriculum offers choice and personalisation, providing a rich experience across an expansive range of disciplines. At IGCSE level, for example, we offer 25 subject options, while at AS and A Level we teach between 16 and 18 subjects.

  • What are your latest academic results?
    Our students consistently achieve outstanding results. In 2023, 54% of our IGCSE cohort achieved grades 9-7, more than double the UK average. Our A Level students, meanwhile, earned 61% A*-B grades, 10% above the UK average. This puts BSK at the forefront of academic quality in Kuwait – and the world.
  • Which universities do your graduates go to?
    The success of our students – both in terms of their IGCSE, AS, and A Level results and the breadth of skills and values they develop – is recognised by the world’s best universities. Our graduates gain places at top 100 institutions worldwide, including Cambridge and University College London in the UK, Penn State and UCLA in the USA, and the University of Sydney in Australia.
  • What accreditations does the school hold?
    The school is accredited by the Kuwait Ministry of Education and British Schools Overseas (BSO). BSK is also a founding member of the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) and British Schools in the Middle East (BSME).
