Extra-curricular activities
Our students pursue their passions – and develop lifelong transferable skills – through our extensive extra-curricular programme. Taking place at break times and after school, we offer a wealth of enrichment activities that include drama productions, creative writing workshops, and chess, to name but a few. We also have a thriving Model United Nations (MUN) programme and offer the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

British Schools programmes
Led by passionate members of staff, our British Schools programmes provide outstanding opportunities for our Reception to Year 9 students to develop new skills. The British School of Young Engineers encourages hands-on problem solving, while our Web Development programme introduces our younger learners to coding and HTML design. We also offer Fashion Design, Lego Construction, and many other exciting courses.
Trips and expeditions
Life-changing adventures deepen our students’ understanding of the world, enriching their education. These include our Upper Department geography trip to Iceland, the Nord Anglia Regional STEAM Festival in Dubai, and BSME Young Musicians of the Gulf Competition in Abu Dhabi. Ski trips to Italy, outdoor adventures in Romania, and a football experience in Spain are just some of the many opportunities we offer.

Sports
Sport is for everyone at BSK, and we organise a variety of activities for all ages and abilities. Our clubs – which include basketball, football, netball, volleyball, and swimming – offer fun, friendship, and opportunities to get active. Talents shine bright at our inter-house tournaments and sports days, while International Schools Activities Conference (ISACK), Kuwait Foreign Schools Activities Conference (KFSAC), and British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) competitions give our students the chance to compete on a global stage.

Action and service
We empower our students to take part in a variety of in-school, service, and community projects that make a real difference. These include early leadership opportunities through our Junior Phase Council, fundraising events for local and international charities, and the chance to drive change through groups such as our Secondary Social Impact Committee.

MOVING TO KUWAIT

Kuwait is a vibrant place to live, with a high standard of living, excellent travel connections, and a rich history and culture. It’s a peaceful, affluent, and friendly country, and many of our staff have lived here for more than 30 years.

Our campus is located in Salwa, a residential district in the south of Kuwait City. Salwa is a popular area for both expats and locals, with a relaxed and secure atmosphere. Close to the coast and with great transport links, BSK is easily reachable from anywhere in the city or country.
