Extracurricular Activities

The British School of Kuwait (BSK) seeks to offer a rounded education, and as such offers an extensive range of extracurricular activities (ECAs) designed to broaden and deepen our students’ experiences during their time with us.

All students are strongly encouraged to get involved in at least one ECA, and with so much on offer there really is something for everyone. Whether they they choose to enjoy these enrichment activities during break times or as part of after-school sessions, our programme provides students with opportunities to develop their interests in fields such as sports, performing arts, visual arts, languages and literary arts, debating, science and technology to name but a few.

Returning soon to BSK: The International Award

The Award is a global framework for non-formal education and learning, which challenges young people to dream big, celebrate their achievements and make a difference in their world. Through developing transferable skills, increasing their fitness levels, cultivating a sense of adventure and volunteering in their community, the Award helps young people to find their purpose, passion and place in the world.

This is achieved by following The Awards framework across three different sections (Physical Recreation; Voluntary Service; and Skills), culminating in the Adventurous Journey, where in previous years students have visited Jordan,  Italy, Cyprus and Nepal to test their skills and complete this component.
