With students of more than 75 nationalities calling BSK home, our school is rich in diversity and culture. STUDENTS TAKING THE LEAD

We encourage our children to take on leadership roles and support their peers, including through our Playground Pals project and Junior Phase Council. In Secondary, our well-established student leadership system makes a tangible difference to life on and off campus through Social Impact, Wellbeing, Media, Events, and House Committees.

BECOMING A MODEL CITIZEN

Our Model United Nations (MUN) programme immerses students in a world of international diplomacy, as they role-play UN delegates and simulate the work of committees. Your child will debate topics of global significance and propose effective solutions, as they communicate with confidence and become an active citizen. The MUN develops critical thinking, diplomacy, and public speaking skills, as well as our learners’ understanding of international affairs.

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD

The prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award inspires our older students to push themselves beyond their comfort zone through physical challenges, volunteering experiences, and community service activities. This award has become a rite of passage for our Higher Phase learners, one which simultaneously builds confidence and independence, while also helping them to stand out on their university and college applications.

Vision
Our hard working students benefit from a rigorous approach to the optimisation of their academic and pastoral progress and are ambitious in the pursuit of the highest standards in their academic attainment and progress, attitudes to learning, personal and social development and extracurricular pursuits. Our dedicated teachers are rigorous in the planning and preparation of their teaching, in the assessment of their students’ work and in their reporting to parents. They are supported in their pursuit of excellence through a robust system of performance management and professional development.

We have long demonstrated a commitment to the breadth and balance that underpins the British education system. With respect to the curriculum, as well as teaching English and Arabic, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Sciences, Geography, History, Modern Languages and PSHE, BSK also stresses the importance of disciplines such as Music, Drama, Art and Physical Education. Our extensive extracurricular programme also ensures that our students have access to a wide range of enriching opportunities outside of the classroom.

The current and future relevance of the education students receive at BSK is paramount, and our efforts are geared toward ensuring that when they move on, our students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence they require to be well-prepared in ever evolving and increasingly competitive environments.
