Results were released for AS/A Level on 15 August 2024, followed by IGCSE results on 22 August 2024. We were extremely delighted that the hard work of all of our students was rewarded with such excellent results. At A Level, Year 13 students achieved 46% A*/A across all subjects, which is the highest ever achieved by BSK.
At IGCSE, 57% of results were at A*/A, this is the highest percentage students have achieved in the last five years. This success was achieved across the 25 subjects taught at IGCSE level and shows the wide diversity of talents demonstrated by our students.
To highlight some of the exceptional achievements of our most successful students, we are happy to note that fourteen of our top eighteen Year 13 students achieved at least one A* at A Level. An A* is achieved only if students score at least 80% in all of their AS modules and at least 90% in all of their A Level modules.
In Year 11, thirty-one students achieved A* grades in 6 or more of their IGCSE subjects. This is the highest number BSK students have ever achieved. These results represent a huge amount of hard work over a very long period of time and we are extremely proud as a school of these achievements. To recognise these wonderful achievements and celebrate them with the wider community we took out advertisements in the local press. Please see HERE.
These results, at IGCSE, AS and A level are measurements of academic ability and are used to decide places at institutions of higher education here in Kuwait and internationally. BSK students have used these results to take places at top institutions all over the world and will go on to graduate in their chosen courses over the coming years. We wish them all the best!
The senior prefects will lead the team of prefects selected from all of the secondary year groups in the wide range of activities falling under the categories of the committees and school houses.
Take a look at some of the things the students shared with their parents during their Year 1 ‘Come Learn with Me.’
In Term 3, we aim to bring empathy to life in a variety of meaningful ways, both inside and outside the classroom.
We are delighted to introduce the Middle Phase Student Councillors for the academic year!
